New BMW Zagato Concept teased for Pebble Beach

Thu, 16 Aug 2012

A surprise new BMW Zagato Roadster Concept is teased ahead of a debut at Pebble Beach later this month. Following on from the BMW Zagato Coupe we saw at Villa D’Este earlier this year, BMW are now teasing what appears to be a Roadster version ahead of a debut at Pebble Beach later this month. Ford to slash price of Focus Electric by $4,000 for 2014

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

Ford will be reducing the price of its Ford Focus electric by $4,000 for the 2014 model year, InsideEVs.com is reporting. The 10 percent price cut will lower the starting MSRP from $39,995 (including a $795 destination charge) down to $35,995. This move by Ford is seen as an attempt to keep the electric car competitive since its release back in 2011.

Scotland to ban petrol and diesel cars by 2050?

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

The Scottish government is aiming to ban all petrol and diesel cars from towns, cities and other communities by 2050. This is according to a new “Switched On Scotland” document, intended to serve as a ‘roadmap’ towards the future that encourages businesses and private motorists to swap to electric vehicles (EVs). On Bing: see pictures of electric vehicles Find out how much a used electric vehicle costs on Auto Trader The government will put its money where it’s mouth is here, by spending over £14 million in the next two years to purchase EVs in replacement of its current petrol and diesel fleet, and installing charging points at major buildings.
