Volkswagen engine block 1600. Air cooled type 1. Long block as pictured only. Duel port 1600. It is used, looks like it may have been rebuilt, there is no flywheel on it and no carb., no alternator. I don't know if it needs a clean up or a rebuild, it does turn and is not siezed. **This could be a Fuel injection block with standard heads.** Warning: It does not have the port where a fuel PUMP would go on the earlier blocks. You must use an electric fuel pump on this. This is an AJ (letter series of manufacture code) motor for 1974-1979 without a mechanical fuel pump. I do not know the history of this motor I bought it by accident, I did not realize it was too new for the vintage I was looking for until I got it home. Hankook tire exec calls for global campaign to point out dangers of low tire pressure
Thu, 23 Sep 2010Anyone driving a car today has certainly heard about the dangers of drinking and driving, and the use of a cell phone and texting while driving. Seung Hwa Suh, vice chairman and CEO of Hankook tires, is hoping more drivers will pay attention to the dangers of low tire pressure and driving. At The Tire Society's 29th Annual Meeting and Conference on Tire Science and Technology, Suh proposed that all tire manufacturers "jointly develop a global campaign for educating consumers about air pressure and the overwhelming benefits that we can all enjoy if we simply maintain proper inflation," he said.
