U.K. seller gives his 2001 Focus a colorful pitch on eBay

It's unlikely that many people in the United States are interested in buying a right-hand-drive 2001 Ford Focus Ghia with more than 107,000 miles on the odometer. For starters, you'd have to import it from the U.K. But if this car doesn't sell on eBay it won't be for lack of effort--or creativity--by the seller.

He then proceeded to take 3,000 photos as he disassembled and rebuilt it, possibly destroying his camera but gaining a shiny new SU-equipped Triumph engine by the time he was done -- eleven months later. Audi R8 V10 sells for $500,000 at charity auction

Which would you pay more for--a V10-powered Audi R8 or the new Ferrari California? At the third annual Boca Raton Concours d'Elegance in Florida last weekend, the Audi R8--the first one in the United States equipped with the 5.2-liter V10--was the winner in a charity auction, selling for $500,000, well above the car's sticker price of $180,000. Meanwhile, the Ferrari California was snapped up for $350,000, a bit more than the $225,000 sticker price.
