Tue, 04 Mar 2014-- We would have to imagine that Bill Hitchens was stuck behind too many people dallying in the left lane on his way to work. The coupé may have looked like the systematic further development of the Sport Light models from the ‘50s with its gullwing doors, but it wasn't a design study for a new SL.
