New but with ought original packaging.
Brand:W & H DuCoil Country/Region of Manufacture:United States Warranty:No Warranty

Here is a very rare find indeed !!!

Here is a complete tune-up set for a W&H DuCoil distributor. These parts are NEW but not in the original packages with the exception of the parts in the Mr Gasket packs. Those have never been opened.

You will notice some stains on the brass ring on the inside of the cap which doesn't affect the operation of the cap.

These parts came to me in a box that had been soaked and some of the wrapping paper had stick to the parts. I scrubbed these parts to remove the paper, but you might see

some residue remaining in the form of white or tan debris. There is nothing there that affects the operation of these parts.

I included a couple of pictures from a 1961 Speed Equipment catalog showing the part numbers for these parts. Please note there is only 1 part number for both right and left hand

rotation distributors, such as Ford and Chevy. Also note that these point sets are for both right and left hand rotation. Please see the top of the Mr. Gasket packages.

Another interesting thing in those listings is the price of the parts at that time. This set would have cost $21.75 in 1961 with on replacement listed for the carbon brushes.

That seems cheep by today's standards, but when you consider my first full time machine shop job in 63 paid $1.50 per hour, I would have had to work nearly 2 full days just to

tune up my car, that was NOT cheep!! That's just a side note.

New 2014 Mercedes C-Class interior revealed

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Ahead of its debut at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2014, Mercedes-Benz has revealed details of the all-new C-Class interior. And if the photos and specification are anything to go by, the gap between the S-Class and the C-Class is about to get narrower. As is becoming increasingly common in the automotive world, strong influence has been drawn from smartphones and tablets, with Mercedes-Benz also leaning heavily on airline and aircraft references.

BMW makes a printing press out of an M6

Mon, 19 Nov 2012

While you're invariably reading this piece on some manner of digital device, Autoweek's roots lie in a physical magazine printed on an offset press. Hell, Competition Press was our original name. But as with any other old-media organization even cursorily concerned with relevance, we've made the leap into the digital world.

BMW M750d & M650d on the way

BMW M650d & M750d on the way BMW are planning to offer the new tri-turbo diesel from the new M550d in the 6 Series and new 7 Series. Paris launch likely. The BMW M Division range of cars – the power of ‘M’ with the frugality of diesel – officially arrived at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, offering performance almost on a par with BMW’s M cars but with the joy of frugality when you aren’t in the mood to drive like your hair’s on fire.
