'53-'54 CD-11 JOHNSON SEA HORSE 5.5hp OUTBOARD complete engine and lower unit. Very clean and well cared for. It's a great runner. Very good cosmetic condition.

CD-11 metal tag from production. No missing parts. The engine is complete and all moving parts are in good working order. Good compression (85/95) and has spark. Easy pull coil moves smoothly. This motor hasn't been run in over a year but I know it's original owner and he tagged the motor "great runner". He took great care of all of his gear.

No dents. There are scratches/scuffs on the exterior commensurate with age and use. No warranty expressed or given on this motor. As with all vintage motors I would suggest a professional or knowledgeable person check the carb, fuel system, oil/grease related points and linkage before heavy use.

62 years strong and ready for more.

Shipping includes custom made box for approx. 65 pound engine. Free pick up from Interlochen, Michigan.

Range Rover Sport SVR prototype: official spy photos issued

Wed, 25 Jun 2014

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 25 June 2014 10:33 Land Rover has taken the unusual step of issuing its own spy photos of the new Range Rover Sport SVR - a muscled-up, 543bhp version that's been breathed on by Jaguar Land Rover's new Special Ops division. A new Range Rover Sport SVR prototype will be thrashed up the Goodwood hillclimb at this weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed and these photos are the first conclusive proof that the Range Rover Sport SVR will join the line-up later in 2014. The SVR name is the first confirmation of a go-faster badge for future fast Land Rovers.

Englon TXN from Geely. The new London Taxi? No Chance.

Mon, 12 Apr 2010

Englon TXN by Geely - supposedly on Tower Bridge A couple of weeks ago we regaled you with the sorry story of the London Cab falling in to Chinese hands. It wasn’t the most shocking story considering how feeble the London Cab has become in comparison to newer offerings like the Mercedes Taxi – which is taking a big chunk of sales from the traditional cab – but still sad to see the iconic London Taxi end up this way. London Taxis International already sourced most of the parts for the TX4 from China and just bolted them together here.

De Tomaso bites the dust – again

Sun, 08 Jul 2012

De Tomaso has filed for bankruptcy again after failing to complete any of the deals Gian Mario Rossignolo had claimed would save the brand. De Tomaso has never had a an easy time of things despite building a few cars – well, the De Tomaso Pantera, at least – which had real appeal. After its last bankruptcy, former Fiat executive Gian Mario Rossignolo rode in as a white knight to put De Tomaso back on top – or so we thought.
