For sale is a '63 Chevy 283. I bought this engine last year for a project car but have decided to go another route. The story I got on this engine is the previous owner had taken it out of a '63 Impala in the late 70's and put it in his C-10 pick-up where it served until he took it out last year and replaced it with a 350. He reported the engine ran at the time but burns oil, will need rebuilt. The engine has never been apart and the heads/block match, The motor spins freely with a ratchet to the crank pulley. There was/is no carb. The engine stand does not come with. Local pick-up or buyer arranged transport. The engine is "as is" with no warranty expressed or implied.
