But Audi Chairman chairman, Rupert Stadler, said back in 2011 that Audi was inclined to ignore the sector above the Q7 and instead concentrate on more compact SUVs. Nakamura, who is best known to enthusiasts for his work on the GT-R, says the current state of design is relatively strong, and the business may be on the verge of another golden age. Nissan is also pondering the look of a version of the Leaf for its luxury Infiniti brand.

The idea of a smaller Porsche to sit below the Boxster has been floating around for what seems like forever. But it seems like the idea has finally been put out to grass by Porsche boss Matthias Mueller.
