(Good Stuff)

A set of adaptor sleeves (2) for the 89-92 Toyota Cressida MX83
(and the JZX81 Chaser, GX81 Cresta)
To use the easily obtainable MkIII Supra spherical bushings.
( Toyota p/n 42210-14010 )

These reduce the bore of the Cressida upright (carrier),
so that the smaller diameter Supra bushings will fit.

Note:
Some later MX83s take the Supra spherical bushings directly,
without the use of these sleeves.
So buy your bushings, check fitment first.

Toyota does not sell replacement Cressida bushings.
The only way to repair worn out lower control arm bushings
is to buy complete new uprights at $400 each!

Armstrong made an all poly bushing for this joint,
but poly is too soft, and will not take the heat from the brakes.
This causes wheel aliegnment issues, and wheel hop,
especially after the rear carrier heats up.

A drift only type company here in the states
makes an adaptor set to use industrial spherical bushings,
but then just puts big poly donuts over them to keep the dirt out.
Fine for a drift only car, that is trailered to an event,
but not something that will stand up to the riggors of everyday driving,
especially if you drive in the rain.
Industial bushings don't take to water & road dirt!

This option allows you to use the Toyota bushings that are sealed,
and will last another 20 years.
And this set of sleeves,
along with the readily available Supra bushings
costs no more than the drift junk.

Simple instalation.
Clean upright bore & sleeve with brake cleaner,
then put a fine coat of Red LocTite in the bore, and the OD of the sleeve.
Using a bolt, nut, and two thick washers,
pull the sleeve into the bore until it comes even with the backside of the bore.
Then using a hammer, and a large piece of flat steel,
tap the bushing in until it protrudes the same amount on both ends.
Let sit for a few hours until the LocTite sets.
Then put a light coat of LocTite in the bore of the sleeve, and OD of the bushing,
and using a gear puller,
press the Supra bushing into the sleeve.

I ship anywhere in the continental US

Audi A7 Sportback – Official photo leak

Sun, 25 Jul 2010

The Audi A7 Sportback Leaks Out We reported last week that Audi were due to reveal the Audi A7 Sportback tomorrow (Monday) at the Pinakothek der Moderne München in Munich. So it’s hardly a shock that the first official photos of the new Audi A7 Sportback have turned up ahead of the event. With the official reveal tomorrow – and some official detail likely to drop in to our inbox sooner than that after this leak – there isn’t too much point going in to huge speculation about what’s to come.

Hyundai Genesis is practically autonomous on ‘Empty Car Convoy’ (video)

Sat, 12 Jul 2014

The Hyundai Genesis driver makes his escape The new Hyundai Genesis is a proper poke by the Koreans at the big, luxury end of the car market, and as such it comes equipped with plenty of luxury features and high-end technology. So with a new Genesis to promote, Hyundai thought it would be a bit of a wheeze to demonstrate just how good many of the driver assist technologies are on the new Genesis, to the point where it is capable (with a bit of fiddling) of being autonomous and safe. Hyundai lined up a convoy of six stunt drivers in the new Genesis saloon at their test track in the Mojave Desert, engaged adaptive cruise, lane hold and automatic emergency braking and set it off round the test track.
