Mitsubishi PX-MiEV Concept at Tokyo

The Mitsubishi PX-MiEV Concept - a hybrid crossover The ‘PX’ bit of the name is Mitsubishi’s code for Plug-in Hybrid Crossover (saves a bit of room on the boot lid), so the PX-MiEV gets a 1.6 litre 4-pot to drive the front wheels together with an electric motor. An additional electric motor is used to power the rear wheels when circumstances dictate. The PX-MiEV can also run for up to 30 miles in EV mode, after which it turns in to a hybrid to drive and recharge the batteries.

Ford Grand C-Max & C-Max – Frankfurt Catchup

Ford has revealed the new C-Max range in Frankfurt including the Grand C-Max (pictured). Two weeks ago we took the lid off the new Ford C-Max with the first pictures of Ford’s 2010 C-Max, which is the first car from Ford to be built on the next generation Focus platform (C-Segment Platform). Mercedes-Benz announces record sales for its AMG division

Meanwhile, AMG has announced that 2013 was the most success year in the firm's history with a total of 32,200 sales thanks in part to the success of the new A45 AMG and CLA45 AMG. The announcement marks the first time Mercedes-Benz has officially confirmed annual sales figures for its AMG division. AMG's 2012 sales were believed to be around 20,000.
