INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: I require all items be shipped USPS first class registered mail. Purchases are insured against lost, and a registered number is provided which can be used to track the package’s progress on usps.com. It is not cheap, so I would combine purchases with friends and split the cost. Charges for this service are; $13.00 charge for using registered mail (tracking & insurance), a $2.00 charge for the first item for a total of $15.00, then $1.50 for each additional item.

I must hand deliver these items to the post office, then stand in line to fill out 2 different forms, 1 for registered mail and 1 for customs, then pay for the postage. I will do this once a week for international orders, the day may vary depending on my schedule and how many international orders are going out.

Scuola Politecnica di Design Milan 2007

Fri, 13 Jul 2007

Milan, Italy is well known for being a style center, so it's fairly apt that there is a design school based in one of the most fashionable and creative areas of the city. Scuola Politecnica di Design has been molding new designers for over 50 years and has a program specifically devised for students seeking to master the art of transportation design. On June 29th the school held its annual degree show, and Car Design News went to Milan to see what the students in the Masters Course had dreamt up. This year marked the second time that Audi sponsored the course, giving students a brief that consisted of creating "a sporty, small lifestyle car for the 'Generation Mobile'": a small car for young customers living in urban areas that would also be accustomed to using iPods.

VW Phaeton returning to America as early as 2018

Wed, 16 Apr 2014

Though the Volkswagen Phaeton -- the brand's range-topping, understated luxury sedan -- disappeared from the United States market in 2006, never actually died. The tech-laden luxobarge is still offered overseas, and it has seen a number of revisions and updates since it was last offered here. Of course, much more has changed since 2006 than the Phaeton's front fascia.

Imre Molnar's lasting legacy

Thu, 03 Jan 2013

When I hear people use the words "senseless" or "tragic" to qualify death, the grammarian in me shudders. It seems they're modifying an absolute -- like saying "very unique," which by the definition of unique means one of a kind and can't be modified further. Of course, the majority of deaths are senseless and tragic, so to qualify it darkens the lily.
