Purchases are insured against lost, and a registered number is provided which can be used to track the package’s progress on usps.com. It is not cheap, so I would combine purchases with friends and split the cost. Charges for this service are; $13.00 charge for using registered mail (tracking & insurance), a $2.00 charge for the first item for a total of $15.00, then $1.50 for each additional item. I must hand deliver these items to the post office, then stand in line to fill out 2 different forms, 1 for registered mail and 1 for customs, then pay for the postage. Nissan’s new lightweight philosophy revealed
Wed, 28 Oct 2009The leaked official drawings of the new Nissan Micra might have revealed the conventional styling of the company’s new supermini, but they gave little clue to the dramatically lightweight new platform that underpins it. The new Micra will be significantly lighter and more fuel efficient than the outgoing car due to a ruthless pursuit of weight reduction on the new V-platform (V = versatile), which on average has slashed 50kg from the new car's weight, and up to 70kg on some models. Project leader Noritaka Tsuru described the new package as a 'breakthrough car' that required a complete 'change in mentality' in how Nissan makes cars.

GM may extend Saab deadline, report says
Tue, 29 Dec 2009General Motors is prepared to wait beyond the end of this week before deciding on the future of Saab as it reviews remaining bids, Bloomberg News reported. The news agency quoted Saab board member Paul Aakerlund as saying that if there is a bid that GM finds sufficiently interesting, then GM's Dec. 31 decision to wind down its Swedish unit "is not a date that's holy.” Aakerlund said GM told Saab last week that it would wind down Saab and simultaneously continue talks with bidders about a sale, said Aakerlund, who also heads the IF Metall union at Saab.
