Design Development: Yanfeng Visteon Glide

Those who attended our Designers' Night in Beijing earlier in the year will have seen the Yanfeng Visteon Glide concept car, a car many thought one of the best displayed throughout the whole motor show period. However many asked why a Tier 1 supplier Yanfeng Visteon has gone to the effort and expense of creating a full concept car, especially one as exotic as the Glide, especially when the company's core business is designing and supplying interior components. We caught up with Shizuki Kajiyama, Yanfeng Visteon's Design Studio Manager to find out more about the project.

Charity auction of photos by F1 stars

As if having the talent to race a Formula One car wasn’t enough, it turns out that some of our favourite F1 stars are pretty handy with a camera, too. Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSHCC) is set to benefit from a second Zoom Photographic Charity Auction, which includes signed examples of pictures taken by F1 drivers and team principles during the 2013 season. MTM de-quattros and supercharges the Audi R8

Audi tuning specialist MTM has revealed its latest go-fast package for the R8 supercar. Having already supercharged the car's 4.2-liter V8, MTM has now converted the AWD sports car to RWD for the new R8 GT3-2 package (the 2 stands for the number of powered wheels). With 560 hp and 428 lb-ft of torque on tap from the supercharged V8, the R8 GT3-2 is capable of hitting 62 mph in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 197 mph.
