This hard to find trunk lid Does Have Filler, It has previous damage on the drivers side top where it curves over. You can see close up of the underside where it shows some of the dents. Very solid, seams are nice and tight, came off an Arizona car. Lock hole needs some work too, better then trying to fix a rusted out deck lid and I do ship. Shipping cost listed is for Greyhound Bus lines, make sure the one closest to you accepts packages so you can pick it up from them. You can email me your zip code if your not sure and I can tell you the closest one. If you have to have it go with Fed Ex, you can pay your invoice and I can send you another invoice for the difference in the higher cost of shipping. It will only be wrapped in cardboard, if you want a crate made, that is an extra $30.00.

Scuola Politecnica di Design announces Chris Bangle workshop

Mon, 13 Jul 2009

Italy’s Scuola Politecnica di Design has announced a seven-day workshop with former BMW Group design boss Chris Bangle at its campus in Milan. Themed ‘Future Personal Emotional Mobility’ and scheduled to run from 18 to 24 September 2009, the workshop invites design degree graduates and experienced car designers to take part in a project to create a new breed of sustainable shared transportation for the year 2050. Based on the concept that the mass migration of people from the countryside to cities will in the future create even more social, economic and ecological differences between population zones, this event will see attendees work closely with Bangle towards designing systems that engage on an emotional as well as an economic level, satisfying the personal transportation needs – and desires – of a disparate global population while minimising impact on the environment.

New BMW 2-Series Active Tourer arrives as BMW’s first front-wheel-drive car (+video)

Fri, 14 Feb 2014

The new BMW 2-Series Active Tourer (pictured) arrives in the UK September 2014 Many will see it as sacrilege that the new BMW 2-Series Active Tourer MPV is front-wheel-drive, but pragmatists will see it as a sensible move to extend BMW’s depth of offerings. Whichever side you come down on, the BMW 2-Series Active Tourer – previewed by the BMW Concept Active Tourer at Paris in 2012 – is a production reality and does look like it will fill very well the space in BMW’s range for a compact MPV. Despite looks that are almost the opposite of what you’d expect from a BMW – stubby nose and a high roof line; a proper BMW take on the Mercedes B-Class – the 2-Series Active Tourer still manages to exude BMW style, albeit in a more practical way to the rest of the range.

BMW ‘i' subbrand aims for 2013 launch

Mon, 21 Feb 2011

BMW has confirmed that the new subbrand through which it intends to market a range of advanced stand-alone hybrid, range-extended and plug-in electric models will be called BMW “i.” Created to develop, produce and market what BMW's head of marketing, Ian Robertson, describes as “innovative solutions to premium mobility,” the brand will be supported by a company established by BMW called i Ventures, through which the German carmaker plans to grow its range of mobility services. The i3 and the i8 will be the initial models and are planned for introduction in 2013. “These cars have been designed specifically for their respective alternative drive systems,” said Klaus Draeger, head of BMW's R&D operations.
