AquaLink™ PLB
Personal Locator Beacon
Product Number: 2882
Model Number: PLB-350 B

NEW FEATURES: Send I'm OK Messages and GPS Location Maps. Increase the functionality of your PLB with optional 406Link.com non-emergency messaging service.
Head offshore with confidence. With three levels of integrated signal technology - GPS positioning, a powerful 406 MHz signal and 121.5 MHz homing capability - the AquaLink™ quickly and accurately relays your position to a worldwide network of Search and Rescue satellites, reducing search time and increasing your chances of survival. It?s reliable signaling technology that has saved more than 25,000 lives since 1982.

The AquaLink™ broadcasts a unique registered distress signal that not only tells rescuers where you are, but who you are. The onboard GPS can fix your position to within 100 meters and then utilizes a powerful 406 MHz signal to relay your distress call to orbiting satellites. As local Search and Rescue is deployed, a separate homing signal and integrated LED strobe light guide rescuers to your exact location.

The AquaLink™ is small enough to be easily carried in a pack or pocket or can be worn on deck, at the helm, in quarters or on a life vest and will float if accidentally dropped overboard. Performing a full functional self test of the PLB?s internal circuitry, battery voltage & power, and 406 MHz transmission gives you the peace of mind knowing your PLB will work the moment you need it to the most. ACR Exclusive: Built-in GPS acquisition test mode allows you to test GPS functionality up to 12 times over the life of the battery life.

Tap in to the same field-tested rescue technology used by the U.S. Military, Coast Guard, NATO Special Forces and Arctic explorers.

Kia at Geneva Motor Show: Kia Sportage (2010)

Tue, 02 Mar 2010

Kia has revealed the 2010 Sportage at Geneva As with many of the reveals we’re getting at Geneva, we’ve already told you to expect the car in previous reports. We reported a month ago that Kia’s version of the Hyundai ix35 – the Kia Sportage – would bow in at Geneva, but we had precious little detail beyond a couple of photos. Well, Kia have made up for that with one of the longest press releases in a while on the new Sportage.

McLaren P1 Track confirmed as McLaren Automotive goes in to profit

Wed, 04 Jun 2014

McLaren are building a track version of the P1 (pictured) for P1 customers only It’s only three years since McLaren Automotive entered the hugely competitive market for high-end supercars (well, it’s four years, but only three since the first 12C went to a customer), but it’s already in profit. McLaren made an operating profit in 2013 of £12.4 million (and a pre-tax of £4.4 million) on sales of £284.4 million and did so – as predicted – by hitting their sales targets – McLaren sold 1359 12Cs and 36 of the McLaren P1 hypercar. And that looks to be just the start.

John Barrowman on Fifth Gear – the update

Mon, 20 Jul 2009

Captain Jack comes a cropper our driving with Fifth Gear It appears – according to News of the World – that Barrowman got a little enthusiastic and came a cropper when his ambition exceeded his skill. Apparently John was driving the WRC Subaru when he lost control, slid down a verge and flipped the car four times. Not a small accident and, unlike Captain Jack Harkness, we’re pretty sure John’s not immortal!
