Video: GM Europe's Mark Adams answers Twitter questions, gives tips to aspiring designers

GM Europe's vice president of design Mark Adams has given aspiring designers tips to stand out from the crowd with their portfolios in a Twitter Q&A session. In the video session Adams offered advice to one participant who asked, "If there was one piece of advice you would give to someone wanting to become a designer, what would it be and why?". With portfolios, he explained, it's not just about the talent, it's about having the ability to convey your thought process along the way.

Honda looks ahead with new SUV

HONDA has unveiled a brand-new crossover SUV at the Tokyo Motor Show, scheduled to reach the UK in 2015. The compact-sized Vezel offers four-wheel drive and in Japan will come in petrol and hybrid models, although the 1.6-litre diesel is likely to feature in European specification. GM sells trucks through Costco program

Membership warehouse retailer Costco has launched a deal with General Motors allowing its members to buy certain Chevrolet and GMC trucks through select franchised new-car dealers at a "preferred price"--generally equivalent to the price that the automaker offers its suppliers' employees. Rick Borg, vice president of the Costco Auto Program, on Tuesday said the club expects its members to buy more than 5,000 new Chevrolet and GMC trucks under the program. The program runs through Jan.
