Setting out your portfolio can seem like an endless task; as soon as you finish one, it's time to start over with the latest stuff, a cycle that often continues beyond design school. To give you a few pointers on how to go about it, Car Design News spoke with agents from recruiting agencies and designers in America and Europe for advice.  First and foremost: the content. For young designers, high sketching skill is paramount -and lots of it.

Nissan Mixim concept

The Nissan Mixim concept car is a compact vehicle for young drivers who are mostly engaged by their computer and the world via the internet -  and it's a new step toward the Japanese company becoming greener. The design incorporates styling features not often seen in electric vehicles, including gullwing doors in a svelte coupe shape. Its wraparound windscreen, inspired by the visor of a crash helmet, dominates the profile while the swept back windscreen, flowing roofline and sharply truncated rear hints at sporting performance.

Rolls-Royce debuts Phantom Coupe Aviator at The Quail

Rolls-Royce unveiled the Phantom Coupe Aviator Collection at The Quail Lodge during Pebble Beach weekend. It's inspired by the company's aviation history and features a cockpit-like layout with cues from the aerospace industry. The Phantom Coupe Aviator Collection is finished in Aviator gray with a matte hood, and matte window and grille surrounds.
