(making runningboard mats since 1975). These are made of urethane, NOT rubber, and will far outlast rubber in that it will not nick, scuff or crack. VERY tough material. SMART believe they’ve kept everything that’s great about the current SMART, and ditched everything that was poor. In particular, the awful automated manual ‘box has been ditched in favour of a five-speed manual or six-speed dual-clutch auto, instantly making the new SMART more appealing to drive.
Fisker reveals hardtop convertible Karma S concept
Mon, 12 Jan 2009Alongside the production version of the Karma sedan at the Detroit Auto Show, Fisker debuted the second model to join the Karma range. The Karma S (for Sunset) concept is spawned from the same aluminum spaceframe that underpins the sedan, but loses a set of doors. A retractable hardtop covers the four-passenger interior.

The show featured the work of students in Vehicle Design, Design Products, Industrial Design Engineering, Architecture and Interiors, Computer Related Design, Textiles, Animation, Communication Art and Design, Conservation and History of Design. For the 19th year Pilkington Automotive sponsored the RCA's Vehicle Design Awards.
