OEM - Triumph Replacement Parts Catalog No. 4 - N.O.S.

This is a new, 49 year old, OEM manual, printed by Triumph Engineering Company Ltd, Meriden Works, Allesley, Coventry, England.  Ref. No. 26/67, published December 1961.  This is the real thing, not a copy or scan.  This covers the following models:

Twenty One (3TA), Speed Twin (5TA), Tiger 100 (T100A), Tiger 90 (T90), Tiger 100 (T100SS) up to Engine #H29733 - up to and including 1963.

Contains 80 bound pages, measures 8 1/4" x 11", soft matte brown cover.  Good condition, front and rear cover, inside pages, all very nice, but some pages have a very faint stain (bottom right corner) from water damage and a slight wave (why I have it marked as 'new-other').  This manual has been stored on the parts shelf since our shop purchased new, never used (1961).  The pages are white, no dirt, smears, smudges or writing. The outer edges are slightly discolored from dust over the years of shelf storage. Please view the photos carefully so you can see exactly what is being offered.  This is an excellent reference material for the Triumph enthusiast or collector with full illustrations, detailed reference/description on all the mechanicals, part numbers, etc. on the bikes.

We ship USPS* First Class Mail, Media or Priority Mail with delivery confirmation.   * We ship within one business day upon payment cleared, but have no control over USPS shipping times.  Heavier items ship FedEx with a two business day handling for shipment.  If you are purchasing multiple items I will pack and weigh together for your best rate and notify you of same.  Note:  If you receive your item and are unhappy with it, please contact us so that we might rectify to your satisfaction.

We were a second generation franchise motorcycle dealer that dates back to 1951 (Triumph 32 yrs, Honda 22 yrs, Ural 15yrs) and are cleaning out some of the N.O.S. (new-old stock) and vintage inventory.  Please check our eBay store and contact us if you do not see what you are in need of.   Watch our upcoming auctions showcasing our frame off restorations of vintage Triumph TR6's, MGB cars along with vintage Triumph and Honda motorcycles.  Thank you for looking !

Why the BMW M4 is better than the M3 V8 (2013)

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

It’s no exaggeration to say that the turbocharged engine in the upcoming BMW M3 (saloon) and M4 (coupe) models is one of the most important engines ever produced by BMW’s M Division. No, it’s not the first turbo lump the performance off-shoot has built – you'll probably know we’ve already had the X5/X6M mutants plus the brilliant 1M and M5 and M6 – but it is the first turbo ever to slot in a production M3, the car that personifies BMW’s iconic performance sub brand, which itself has always been defined by high-revving, naturally aspirated engines. All of this explains why M’s engineers have cut their teeth on other engines first before plucking up the courage to develop the M3/M4 turbo while turning their backs on the outgoing E92 M3’s exceptional V8.

MOT test scrapped for Classic Cars

Mon, 21 May 2012

MOTs scrapped for Classic Cars The Department for Transport has announced it is scrapping MOT tests for cars registered before 1960. In a move that probably won’t make much difference to owners – but will at least cut down on red tape – the Department of Transport has announced that from 18th November 2012 owners of cars registered before 1960 will no longer require an annual MOT. The argument for the change is that owners of classic and historic cars have a much lower accident and MOT failure rate than other vehicles on the road.

New 2011 / 2012 Ferrari 612 is 4×4 Shooting Brake

Fri, 31 Dec 2010

The 2011 / 2012 Ferrari 612 will be a 4x4 Shooting Brake (render by Vandenbrink design) Last month we had an email in from Argentina pointing us towards spy shots published by Autoblog Argentina which seemed to be of an all wheel drive Ferrari 612. Which tied in very well with the story we ran over a year ago when we reported that a 4×4 platform for the next Ferrari 612 was a certainty, just six months after we reported Ferrari were working on four wheel drive hybrid propulsion system. But the Ferrari 4×4 setup is very different to the permanent all wheel drive system used by Lamborghini.
