2012 Mercedes GLK Facelift - but not for the UK A facelift for 2012 on the Mercedes GLK SUV is due to debut at the New York Auto Show in April, but the UK still won’t get the GLK. Mercedes’ answer to cars like the BMW X3 and Audi Q5 – the Mercedes GLK – is to get a facelift for 2012 and some tweaks to the oily bits for 2012, but Mercedes still don’t think it worth their while building a RHD version for the UK. In fact, despite expectations that Mercedes would at least deliver a RWD version of the GLK to RHD markets it now seems that won’t happen until the all new GLK arrives in a few years time.

Perhaps sensing that it's at risk of going the way of the carbureted big-block and leaded gasoline, the United States Postal Service is apparently willing to try anything to boost its bottom line. Though we're sure its recently announced line of postal worker-inspired apparel will be a runaway (and runway) success, we're glad to see the USPS reaching out to the automotive-enthusiast community with a new set of limited-edition stamps that commemorate the American muscle car. New Land Rover Defender Concept expected at Frankfurt Last week AE ran a report that suggested Land Rover were considering dumping the iconic Defender from their range as it was perhaps too difficult to find a cost-effective way to update it. Which we didn’t buy for a minute. As far as we can see, the Land Rover Defender is so iconic that Tata would have to find a way to keep it viable and in production even if they lost money on every Defender they built.
