“Both of these plates has no cracks or damage. Chrome still has a nice shine to it but you will find some weathering in a few spots. Inserts are actually wood and have no major wear, but do show some common wear here and there. Plates do still display well, but do show some cosmetic wear. Below I have attached 3 pictures of the set to give you a better idea of the condition and style. Please review before bidding.”

What I have up for bids here is a very neat and completely original vintage boat step plate set, just pulled from a 1960s Glastron V163 boat that we are parting out. This set would be perfect for the guy who is fixing up that vintage boat and looking for a model correct or period parts, or maybe for the who needs a vintage step plate or two for his vintage Glastron, Garwood, Chris Craft, Century, Crosby, Starcraft, Aerocraft or other boat. .Either way for the no reserve opening bid of just $14.99 I think you will find this vintage set to be a great buy and find. (4)Vintage chrome and wood boat step plates as shown above and below. Each plate is 2 1/16" x 8 5/8" in size and feature an all chrome mount, with actually wood center fuller/step .

As noted this set was pulled from a 1960s Glastron V163, but I believe this set will fit other boats from this era along with other boat mfgs that used this style plate with there own center logo.

Chevrolet Sonic turbo gets six-speed automatic

Chevrolet Sonic fans who want the turbocharged 1.4-liter engine but don't want a manual transmission are in luck. Chevrolet is now shipping the Sonic with a six-speed automatic mated to the turbo engine. Fuel economy for the turbo Sonic, despite the automatic, is 27 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway, with a 0-to-60-mph time of about eight seconds, Chevy says.

Gibbs begins production of Quadski amphibious ATV

During our test of the Gibbs Quadski, a high-speed amphibious ATV manufactured by Gibbs Sports Amphibians Inc., representatives stated that the first production vehicles would be ready for sale by mid-November. The company seems to have made good on that promise. According to a statement, the first production Quadskis were completed earlier today at an Auburn Hills, Mich., factory.
