2015 Audi Q3 is coming to America with 200 hp

Thu, 09 Jan 2014

Audi has been selling the Q3 crossover overseas for a few years now, but it is set to make its United States debut at the Detroit auto show before hitting dealerships this fall. The 2015 Audi Q3 will complement the new A3 lineup, which includes a sedan, cabriolet and sportback, while expanding the automaker’s luxury crossover/SUV stable. The Q3 will get power from Audi’s workhorse 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, making 200 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque in this application.

Concept Car of the Week: Italdesign Machimoto (1986)

Fri, 07 Feb 2014

The Machimoto might look and sound like a Japanese concept, but it was developed in Europe in the Turin-based Italdesign studio, and was based on a Volkswagen Golf GTI platform. The name actually derives from MACHIna (car in Italian) and MOTOciclo (motorcycle) as the perfect hybrid between the worlds of two- and four-wheelers. Unveiled on its home turf at the Turin motor show in 1986, it landed like a UFO, shocking both the public and the press.

Renault Captur Compact SUV production version teased

Tue, 08 Jan 2013

Renault has started the tease for their Clio Crossover – likely the Renault Captur – ahead of a debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Before you get too excited, the production version of the Renault Captur appears to have little in common with the Captur Concept we saw at Geneva in 2011 – except for the name – and looks likely to be nothing more than a high-riding Clio 4 with added butchness.
