BMW ActiveE: Electric BMW 1-Series at Geneva
Thu, 10 Feb 2011BMW 1-Series Electric - BMW ActiveE It’s been a while since we first saw the BMW ActiveE, the BMW 1-Series with the gubbins from the MINI E bolted under the bonnet (and various other places) and intended as the next instalment in BMW’s plans to charge its customers to do real-world development and research. In the name of economy and emissions, Nissan are dropping the 2.0 dCi diesel engine from the Qashqai range and replacing it with a 1.6 litre dCi lump.
Ferrari FF gets 875bhp with E85 conversion
Fri, 13 Jan 2012Ferrari FF E85 conversion gets 875bhp If the performance of the Ferrari FF with 650bhp isn’t enough for you, how about a bio-ethanol (E85) conversion with 875bhp? Despite Ferrari anoraks claiming the Ferrari FF isn’t a real Ferrari, we think it’s stunning. With a glorious V12 producing 650bhp, 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds, room for four – and their luggage – and a go-anywhere 4WD system, we think it’s a masterpiece.
