Video: BMW M1 Hommage
Tue, 29 Apr 2008BMW took the wraps off its latest concept car at the Concorso d'Eleganza in Villa d'Este this past weekend. Called the M1 Hommage, the concept is exactly what it says on the tin: pay homage to the iconic M1 designed by Giorgio Giugiaro, which celebrates its 30th birthday this year. The design of the M1 Hommage concept is a thoroughly modern interpretation of the original - compete with a louvered rear window - but it has grown in size over its thirty year old forebear.
Jaguar C-X75 Concept Photo Gallery
Wed, 29 Sep 2010Jaguar C-X75 Tonight in Paris Jaguar has revealed the C-X75 Concept, a car so glorious and innovative it could very well have stolen the Paris Motor Show even before it officially starts. Not designed to be a production car – but if they don’t do something close to it they should be shot – the Jaguar C-X75 offers what could be considered the ultimate range-extender hybrid. With a pair of mini gas turbines charging a bank of plug-in Li-Ion batteries which in turn power a quartet of electric motors, the C-X75 produces a massive 780bhp, offers a 0-60mph of just over 3 seconds and a top speed of over 200mph.
First 2015 retail Mustang goes for $300K
Mon, 20 Jan 2014Compared to your typical Barrett-Jackson collector car auction price, $300,000 might not seem like too much--a 1967 Corvette went for $3.8 million. But with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, $300,000 doesn't sound too shabby. On Saturday, the winning bidder ended up dishing out $300k for the first 2015 retail Ford Mustang GT, about 10 times the actual price.
