Volvo XC30 for 2012
Fri, 19 Mar 2010It's starting to look as if the baby Volvo Crossover - the XC30 - is getting close The rumour mill has been working on a smaller crossover/SUV from Volvo for a long time – since just about the time that the Volvo C30 first hit the road. And it’s a car that makes a lot of sense, especially in the current market. So it’s not any sort of surprise to see the rumour resurface, but we’re a bit peeved to have missed (until now) the comment that’s being attributed to Lex Kerssemakers – Volvo’s Overseas Corporate Strategy President – from Geneva when he apparently said “There will be some further expansion of the XC range in the near future”.
Infiniti – now it’s the Infiniti Diesel
Fri, 19 Feb 2010Infiniti FX30d S will launch in the UK this year Infiniti are trying hard with their offerings and Europe, but one thing that’s been missing in their lineup is a diesel engine. Any diesel engine. And unlike the US – which is probably Infiniti’s key market – where diesels are as rare as hen’s teeth, the UK and Europe are quite partial to a diesel.
Volkswagen Makes Virtual Roadster Real
Fri, 30 May 2014GERMAN car maker Volkswagen has turned the virtual world into reality, as it unveiled its GTI Roadster concept at the famous Woerthersee GTI meeting in Austria recently. The GTI Roadster was originally created as a purely electronic car, to feature in the Sony PlayStation 3 classic, Gran Turismo 6. The result of cooperation between Volkswagen and Sony, the GTI Roadster is the work of three young Volkswagen designers, winners of an in-house competition to design a vehicle to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Gran Turismo game.
