. DESCRIPTION .

ONE  PAIR  OF  DOOR  LOCK  WEDGE  PLATES
FOR  VINTAGE  MOPARS  with  "DPCD"  LOGO

(Dovetail Aligns the Door When Closing)

★ *Universal Fit for Many 1939 - 1950's MoPar & Military Trucks

25.99  33.79 / 30.99

• Universal fit for many 1939-1953 MoPar trucks*.   Rectangular base measures 1" x 2-1/8".   "DPCD" logo stamped into backside (see close-up photos below for logo & dimensions).

• The pointed end centers the door upon closing so your door will latch properly (re: so you don't fall out!). This is a high-wear part that mounts on the door edge & centers the door as it is closing (see door installation photo below from our 1939 Dodge).  This part is often worn on older vehicles, thus producing a sloppy door fit.  Instead, we offer this never installed with a galvanized finish.

• Fits many, many 1939- late 1950's MoPar trucks.  See installation photo example on 1949 Dodge B1B Pickup.
Our parts books suggests should fit many 1950's to early 1960's military trucks:
    ~ M Series:  e.g. M37, M715, etc.
    ~ half-ton, 3/4 ton, 1-ton, 1-1/2 ton, 2 ton and 3 ton

Also, Dodge trucks from 1939 to 1947:
    ~ 2wd Dodge T, V and W Series Trucks
    ~ From 1/2 ton TC through 3 ton WK-69
~ Panel Trucks, Pickups, Stake trucks, etc.

Dodge B-Series trucks from 1948 to 1953
   ~ B1B / B-1-B, B2C / B-2-C, & up through the 4 ton B2YA / B-2-YA
~ Panel Trucks, Pickups, Stake trucks, etc.

. . . but Buyer is to check their own Parts Books to be sure of application to their vehicle before bidding.  This NOS part is from a large wooden pallet/shipping crate of old NOS parts from a recently closed 80-year-old Dodge dealer in Peapack, NJ; there was no identifying part number. Thus, Seller has gone thru great effort to provide DETAILED dimensions for Buyer so that the Buyer can determine for themselves if this item is correct for their own vintage MoPar vehicle, car or truck . . . without a part number, one has to rely on a vehicle inspection & obviously the Buyer is in the best position to do that since the Seller cannot see their vehicle. Buyer must see detailed dimensions in photo to determine how/if item fits their own vehicle before bidding.

 • This is a 100% never-used, never installed part for vintage MoPar vehicles.  Seller has gone thru great effort to provide detailed dimensions for Buyer; Nothing to hide, so we gave you HIGH-RESOLUTION photos to zoom-in on details!  Seller will deliver item exactly as shown.  NOW  IS  THE  TIME  -  GET  IT  NOW  WHILE  YOU  CAN !!

PLEASE, do not ask us "will this part fit my vehicle?"  Why?  Because many vintage vehicles may or may not have had OEM parts installed from different models, or various aftermarket parts installed, or may have been altered or modified across the past 40 to 70 years; plus, there is no part number on this item . . . thus, it is impossible for us to say if our part "will fit" any vehicle we cannot see or measure first ourselves.  Instead, fitment assessment is solely up to the Buyer.  Buyer is responsible to check their own vehicle, their OEM parts books, the auction photos & description in its entirity, prior to bidding to determine for themselves if this item is correct for their project!  Do not bid first& read ad later. . . ESPECIALLY  WHEN  SNIPE  BIDDING!  Buyer's bid is Buyer's confirmation that they accept all auction terms & this item is suited for Buyer's project, purposes & standards.

. SHIPPING .

   >>> FAST Shipping to your USA address via USPS Package.

Includes costs: USPS Delivery Confirmation, private shipping insurance as required by eBay/PayPal

Will ship to Canada, the U.K.  Australia / New Zealand via USPS First Class REGISTERED* Mail   (<<Note, it's expensive postage required by PayPal)

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING NOTE:  *
eBay/PayPal now REQUIRES Sellers to provide package tracking directly to international Buyer's front door ... the least expensive international shipping service to offer this is US Postal Service Registered Mail WHICH ADDS ROUGHLY $14.50USD TO THE SHIPPING COST (since the economical First Class postage does not allow USPS to track packages once they leave USA borders).  Please understand that Seller has to reluctantly comply with eBay/PayPal policy eventhough it raises shipping costs vs. Seller's desire to offer lowest shipping costs possible.  Seller can combine-ship multiple items up to 1 pound total weight to minimize impact of eBay/PayPal's added shipping cost policies.

 ▪  SHIPPING COSTS: Please understand shipping your item is more than just the actual postage cost!!       Costs = Postage + Delivery Confirmation (required by PayPal) + Shipping Insurance (required by eBay) + shipping materials (tape, boxes, styrofoam, bubblewrap, hot glue, etc) + additional costs derived from, then added to Shipping Cost (PER EBAY) . . . these additional costs are not from the Seller!).  All shipping costs are non-refundable. Buyer is responsible for all shippings costs, including from Seller to Buyer and from Buyer to Seller.  ALL RETURNS ARE SUBJECT TO THE STATED RESTOCKING FEE!

▪  NOS = "New Old Stock", a never used, never installed part from the factory or a MoPar supplier that has spent it's life stored on the shelf.  Although the part is new, it might be many, many decades old and may have cosmetic blems due to aging or to shelf wear.  Thus, NOS does not necessarily mean a "mint" piece in 10-point "show quality condition" - PLEASE review photos & judge cosmetic condition for yourself.  For more information, please see link to:  eBay Guide about NOS vs. NORS Parts.

The cars of Ayrton Senna

Thu, 01 May 2014

Twenty years ago today – 1 May 1994 – the world lost arguably the most talented Formula One driver ever: Ayrton Senna. Numbers alone don’t quite describe the genius the Brazilian driver showed at the wheel of all manner of cars throughout his career, finding time and speed where others simply couldn’t. So, on the 20th anniversary of Senna’s death in a tragic accident at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at Imola – only a day after Roland Ratzenberger, a young Austrian driver and friend of Senna, also sadly lost his life, while qualifying – we’re celebrating the life of one of Formula One’s most charismatic drivers.

CAR reader Lokinen remembers going eight up in a Woody

Wed, 23 Sep 2009

By Lokinen Motoring Issues 23 September 2009 17:35 When dad's old farina Morris Oxford could be bodged through an MOT no more, he returned home one day with an Old English White 'Woody' Mini Traveller. Trouble was, there were four of us kids, aged from six to 11. On shopping nights we'd sit four abreast on the rear seat, at other times I'd choose the rear compartment and a couple of pillows.
