Update: Porsche has now caught up with the first photos arriving and we have official details of what the new 911 GT3 has to offer. A rise in weight from the last GT3 sees the new GT3 weighing in at 1430kg, but power is up to 468bhp and 324lb/ft of torque from a tweaked version of the 3.8 litre flat 6 which now revs to 9000rpm with power going to the back wheels through the auto ‘box.

This particular 250 TR is something rather special – although they all are, of course – because it is one of the original prototypes for the Testa Rossa and is expected to beat the current world car auction record – around $30M for a 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic – when it appears at Pebble Beach next month. Crackdown on 'distracted' drivers
Wed, 02 Oct 2013A CRACKDOWN on distracted drivers caught one motorist having a shave using a razor and a water bottle and a woman doing her make-up in the rear view mirror while on a motorway. The five-day police operation across the motorways of Hampshire and the Thames Valley resulted in 198 motorists being prosecuted for driving offences - most of them driving whilst distracted. Other offences spotted were a lorry driver brushing his teeth, two van drivers reading newspapers while they drove, one person reading a map on the steering wheel and two drivers using iPads (one on the steering wheel) as they travelled along.
