Up for auction, we have three 16” 6 lug wheels / rims.  They  measures 17 1/2" in diameter.  The width is: 5 1/8" (outer edge to outer edge),  4" (inner wall to inner wall).  The bolt pattern is: 5 1/2". To see how I got this measurement, go to:   rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html    . In the circle of lug holes, there is a smaller hole. I don’t know the purpose of this hole. All three wheels have it and the hole looks like it could be factory. They are solid wheels but have some rust. The rims are rusty mostly on the front. On the part where the tire sets, they have average rust for wheels this old.  They are black with red striping, but they really should be sandblasted and redone. All hubcap clips are intact on all three wheels. One of the wheels has a 1" ding along the outer lip on the front, I don’t think it will affect anything, but I figured I would mention it just the same. These wheels came out of a garage cleanout of mostly vintage Chevrolet parts.  Please do your homework to be sure they are correct for your particular application.  Great to have if you need them, or for extras!!!!!

Audi A1 e-tron Wankel range-extender EV trial begins

Sat, 29 Oct 2011

Audi A1 e-tron trial begins in Munich If car makers are going to foist electric cars on us, the least they can do is make them as useful as the limited technology permits. And that’s what Audi are doing with the A1 e-tron EV. The Audi A1 e-tron isn’t a daft BEV (battery electric vehicle) with a woeful range at the mercy of weather conditions, instead it’s a range extender EV with a small Wankel engine which kicks-in when the battery charge is used up to increase range.

What the 2014 Malibu tells us about the future of styling

Wed, 12 Jun 2013

Decades ago, Detroit's automakers changed their offerings' sheet metal, or at least substantial parts of it, every model year. The process of revealing revised models to the public boosted the glamour and mystique of the entire industry. Dealership windows were papered over; display models were smuggled in under wraps; anticipation grew to a fever pitch.

Green fuel 'costly and harmful'

Fri, 07 Feb 2014

A NEW "GREEN" FUEL to be introduced in the UK to meet EU regulations could be costly and harmful, according to tests carried out by What Car? magazine. The E10 fuel, which contains 10% bio-ethanol, was less efficient than the current E5 (up to 5% bio-ethanol) blend across every engine type tested, What Car?
