Rare foreign cars head to Carlisle this weekend

Every spring, Carlisle, Pa., (otherwise known as the Woodstock of the classic-car hobby, a title it now fully shares with Hershey) hosts a weekend event just for foreign cars. Last year, over 1,000 cars gathered in central Pennsylvania, with rare foreign machinery making its way from all over the lower 50 and parts of Canada. The longest-traveled cars we spotted last year wore British Columbia plates, which should give you a clue as to the event's following, though we're still unsure which cars we spent the longest time gawking at.

McLaren has released video of the development version of the new P1 supercar undergoing testing ahead of the production reveal at Geneva. We did think, when we got an email from McLaren entitled ‘The next steps towards production’ on the new P1, that we might get some concrete details on exactly what the P1 will offer in the way of specification and performance. The Ferrari SA APERTA has been built to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Pininfarina, and the SA stands for Sergio and Andrea Pininfarina (the APERTA bit simply means ‘Open’). And the APERTA is very much the Roadster, paying only lip-service to any notion of enclosing the cabin.
