This low price is for a set of eight ( 8 ) Flow matching professionally refurbished and fully tested OEM Chrysler Bosch fuel injectors - Bosch # 0280155789, or for cross reference purposes, Standard Motor Products (SMP) # FJ567.
This is a flow matched set.
The test cylinders of the fuel injector bench testing unit in the picture above are the actual flow test results from this set of Chrysler injectors - after servicing they flow matched within 2 % ( nice ) !!! A flow matching set of injectors should all be flowing within 5% of each other for proper engine performance, power, smooth idling and smooth throttle response during acceleration.
These injectors have all new upper and lower o-rings, new pintle caps, and more importantly, all new internal microfilters have been installed. Why take a chance on untested used fuel injectors that may have crud filled internal filters, old hardened o-rings, or a bad coil ??
These Chrysler Bosch injectors cleaned up nice and look good, but they do have cosmetic stains and nicks / scratches in the green plastic from being in prior service.
They have been ultrasonically cleaned, back-flushed, and flow tested.
They are guaranteed to perform like new.
The original application for these injectors;
- 1998 - 2000 Chrysler Dodge Plymouth Voyager and Caravan
- 3.3L V6 cylinder engines with the ability to handle all regular fuels and Flex fuels.
Jeep and Dodge Fuel Injector Upgrade;
These injectors are often used as an injector upgrade for 1999 - 2004 Jeep Wrangler Cherokee 4.0 and Dodge 5.2 Liter engines that have the stock single hole discharge, blue tip Siemens Deka # 04854181 injectors with the EV6 connector. They can be used as an upgrade for all applications where the Siemens Deka # 04854181 is originally installed.
The Dodge Jeep OEM installed Siemens Deka EV6 'pencil' injectors are problematic; they do not have the precise fuel delivery that the Bosch injectors do. The Jeep and Dodge factory installed Siemens # 04854181 injectors have a single hole discharge and do not atomize the fuel as well as the Bosch generation III 4 hole discharge injectors.
Also, the Siemens Deka pencil injectors are prone to having their plastic bodies split open - which exposes the injectors coil to the elements, and moisture will eventually cause corrosion on the coil. I have a junk injector box full of failed Blue tip Siemens Deka EV6 pencil injectors that are split open. The Bulletproof Bosch Generation III Upgrade injectors # 0280155789 are a perfect replacement for the inferior Siemens Deka injectors.
These Bosch injectors have almost the exact same Flow rating and electrical specs as the Siemens, and are an easy plug and play upgrade for better performance.
Bosch Injector spec.s;
- Bosch Generation III injector
- 12 + ohm / high impedance ( approximate )
- 22.28 lb.s/hr. or 233 cc / min. @ 49 psi ( Jeep pressure )
- 21.0 lb.s / hr or 220 cc / min @ 43.5 psi ( Standard pressure )
- EV6 / USCAR connector
- 4 hole discharge for better fuel atomization resulting in a more complete and even combustion = a little more power and better gas mileage.
- Plug and Play installation
Outside of ebay I run a Fuel Injection Refurbishing business called Injector Repair LLC. Sending your own vehicles' injectors out to be refurbished, or buying a set of refurbished fuel injectors are great ways to save a ton of money vs. buying brand new injectors at $70 TO $150 FOR EACH NEW INJECTOR. Genuine OEM Fuel Injectors are designed to outlast your engine, and should last way more than 300,000 to 500,000 miles. They usually only fail to perform when they get clogged ( a bad side effect of ethanol, or a bad batch of contaminated gas ), or when the injectors internal coil winding fails ( happens, but rarely ). Genuine OEM injectors that are factory original are far superior in quality than the aftermarket injectors sold by the big name aftermarket suppliers. They may look the same, but they are definitely not the same quality as OE brands like Bosch, Delphi, Denso, IPT, JECS, Keihin, Rochester, Siemens Deka, and Weber.
Each fuel injector is;
- externally cleaned
- resistance checked
- parts ( including internal filter ) are removed
- the injectors are ultrasonically cleaned while being computer driven
- injectors are back-flushed
- Then the injectors parts are replaced with new high quality o-rings, plastic caps ( when needed ) , plastic spacers, and the internal injector microfilter.
- The set of injectors are then flow tested on a computerized fuel injector bench testing unit and evaluated for leak down, flow volume and spray pattern. In order to pass, the injectors have to not leak when closed under full pressure, and they have to have the proper spray pattern and the proper flow volume when tested under a number of different scenarios. They are subjected to multiple tests and are tested; At Static condition (wide Open), 3 millisecond pulse width, 6 millisecond pulse width, 12 millisecond pulse width, and are tested at various RPM.'s. These tests insure that the injectors are performing correctly under all conditions, and will detect a faulty injector coil that may have passed a resistance check.
