This dash pad was bought for a 1982-1992 Camaro and is incorrect for a Camaro.  It fits 1982-1992 Firebird / Formula / Trans Am.  That is the only reason I am re-listing it. It is in excellent condition for a used part. No tears, rips, burns, etc.  The fabric around the mounting holes for the passenger side speaker has been removed for some reason (see in photos), but should not be seen once installed in vehicle and speaker grill installed. It does not come with speaker grills or side vent grills.  It comes exactly as seen in photos. No returns if part does not fit your vehicle. Please verify part is correct first by comparing photos with your old part. Shipping is included in price.

Aston Martin CC100 Speedster Concept celebrates Aston Martin’s Centenary (video)

Sun, 19 May 2013

Looking like a modern interpretation of the legendary AM DBR1 Le Mans car from the 1950s, the CC100 is a dramatic ‘Speedster’ concept powered by Aston’s latest V12 and makes its debut – driven by Ulrich Bez – at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring Race event in Germany today (19th May 2013). Aston put together the CC100 in less than six months (did no one tell them 2013 was Aston’s centenary year until last Christmas?), and roped in carbon fibre specialists Multimatic to create the body and interior from carbon fibre, and Aston Martin used the VHM platform to create the underpinnings for the CC100, and have powered it with the latest version of the V12 AM11 engine with a six-speed sequential gearbox. Chief Exterior Designer, Miles Nurnberger, said: The brief was very simple, yet enormously testing: create something that reflects the 100 years of Aston Martin heritage and signals the future of the brand.

Algae-powered street lights eat CO2

Fri, 04 May 2012

Algae powered street lighting (great Photoshop) A French biochemist – Pierre Calleja – has developed a street lighting system using micro algae that absorbs CO2. The need to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere is contentious - to say the least – but as long as governments use CO2 as a stick to beat motorists and empty their bank accounts it’s sensible to look at ways of ‘balancing’ the CO2 emissions of cars. French biochemist Pierre Calleja thinks he’s come up with a solution that would neutralise CO2 emissions from cars by cancelling it out with his micro-algae lighting.

Local Motors XC2V Competition

Tue, 15 Feb 2011

Local Motors, producer of the Rally Fighter, has teamed up with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to host a design contest. The partnership, which was made possible within the Adaptive Vehicle Makes initiative, aims to create an Experimental Crowd-derived Combat-support Vehicle (XC2V), exploring the potential of a crowd-sourced design for military use. The initiative to develop a crowd-derived vehicle body design for the US military was created in an effort to decrease the time and developmental costs associated with creating niche military vehicles.
