Audi to reveal 230hp S1

Audi is expected to reveal a 230hp quattro S1 at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The hot version of its A1 city car will be powered by the turbocharged 2.0-litre engine used in the Audi S3, and come with four-wheel drive as standard. MINI Clubman Bond Street: It’s another MINI Special Edition

The MINI Clubman Bond Street, named after London’s Bond Street Shopping district, has been revealed ahead of a Geneva 2013 debut. As has been MINI’s strategy for a while, all MINI Special Editions are named after London districts, this time one of London’s shopping areas – Bond Street – and nothing to do with James Bond (much as MINI might have liked to find a 007 connection). The MINI Clubman Bond Street gets the usual special edition fare of custom paint job – this time Midnight Black with Cool Champagne highlights – a set of stripes, black twin-spoke alloys with Champagne centres and ‘Bond Street’ on the side indicator surrounds and sills.

Mercedes-Benz recalls diesel cars for a problem with the fuel filter

Mercedes-Benz is recalling nearly 7,000 diesel vehicles from the 2011 and 2012 model years to fix a possible defect with the diesel filter that could cause it to leak fuel. Mercedes said it is concerned that a crash or a fire could ensue in the event of a fuel leak from the area around the heating component in affected vehicles. The recall will involve an estimated 6,782 vehicles.
