The ATEQ Quickset TPMS Reset Tool is used to reset a vehicle's tire pressure monitoring system when replacing sensors or swapping tire sets. The Quickset also comes with a "Swapping Tires" function, which assists you in tracking and recording the TPM sensor information after rotating tires.

Features:
  • Compatible with future applications (upgradable online)
  • Advanced stream decoding for faster signal recognition
  • OBDII plug-in extension cable
  • Easy, step-by-step instructions
  • Tire rotation tracking and recording
  • Save and restore old tire configuration
The ATEQ Quickset Reset Tool includes PC software that provides easy, step-by-step instructions for reset, making this tool ideal for the DIY user. Updating the tool is easy. All you need to do is connect the Quickset to your PC and download the current software. Connect the Quickset tool to your car through the OBDII diagnostic link connector under the dash on the driver's side and you'll be able to retrieve sensor codes from your wheels. Save these codes for a second set and the tool is enabled to switch between "winter" and "summer" wheels or "track" and "street."

The QuickSet downloads the IDs that are stored in your vehicle's ECU. The PC based software allows you to enter the IDs from your alternate set of tires into the QuickSet. You must have your alternate set of IDs available (from a TPMS decoder tool such as the ATEQ VT30, provided by a garage, an invoice or on the sensor itself). Once the QuickSet is updated with the alternate set of IDs, you are able to upload these to your vehicle's ECU through the OBDII port.

The ATEQ Quickset TPMS tool eliminates the need to make multiple trips to the dealership every year. Save time and money by resetting your sensor codes in the comfort of your own garage.

Aston Martin Rapide: Is the Rapide not selling?

Thu, 16 Jun 2011

Aston Martin Rapide - doesn't seem to be selling It took AML an age to get the Aston Martin Rapide to market, but they eventually managed it and the first customer Rapide finally left Magna Steyr in May 2010. The general consensus was that the Rapide was something of a triumph for Aston Martin. They’d managed to squeeze an extra pair of doors in to a stretched DB9 and made the back seats of the Rapid just about commodious enough to be useable.

Range Rover Evoque gets some new tech for 2014

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

When the 2014 Range Rover Evoque goes on sale in just a few months, it's going to have a whole host of new technologies on offer. As difficult as it is to believe that the Evoque is already being updated with new technology (didn't this SUV just come out a little while back?), Land Rover isn't waiting around. Over 170,000 units have been sold in just 18 months, and this compact SUV is well on its way to becoming Land Rover's sales leader of the decade if this pace keeps up.

WINTER BREAKDOWN EXPENSE FOR USED CAR OWNERS

Thu, 10 Oct 2013

SOME VEHICLE components are nearly three times as likely to fail during the winter months as in the summer leading to potentially expensive repairs for the owners of older vehicles, according to Warranty Direct. The specialist insurer and warranty provider analysed 50,000 live automotive policies and found that ignition coils are 283 per cent more likely to fail between December and February than between June and August. Fuel injection pumps, thermostats and a number of electrical components are also more likely to suffer in the cold leading to an average winter repair bill of £408.60, the company has warned.
