Jaguar Land Rover create 700 more jobs at new engine plant

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

Jaguar Land Rover has announced that they are creating an additional 700 jobs – double the original – at their new engine plant in Wolverhampton. Back in 2011, we revealed that Jaguar Land Rover were planning a new facility on the i54 development in Wolverhampton to build engines for their cars, removing the reliance on Ford’s (excellent) engines in the process. They were at pains to point out – endlessly – that the Galibier was just a concept. A possible way forward.

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta

Wed, 29 Feb 2012

Ferrari has confirmed the name of the successor to the 599 GTO as the F12 Berlinetta ahead of its official debut at next week's Geneva motor show. The car, originally thought to be named the F620 GT, is the most powerful Ferrari road car ever launched with advanced vehicle architecture, aerodynamics, components and electronic controls. The design process – undertaken by both Ferrari and Pininfarina – involved with lengthy wind tunnel testing and extensive computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations.
