The Koenigsegg Agera hits the floor at Geneva We managed to uncover information on the Koenigsegg Agera early on, following on from the chat we had with Koenigsegg when they told us they would be bringing ‘Something New’ to the Geneva Motor Show. And I think we were a bit ungracious. Maybe it was disappointment that theAgera wasn’t perhaps as radical as we hoped from a new Koenigsegg, or it could just have been a long day.

GM to modify Chevrolet Volts to guard against battery fire

General Motors will add a structural reinforcement and devices to prevent overfilling of the battery cooling system in the Chevrolet Volt hybrid sedan to prevent the possibility of a fire after a side crash. The changes come seven months after a Volt caught fire three weeks after being crash-tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The government agency in November opened a defect investigation into the Volt because of the battery fire.

Mark Webber achieved his first F1 win in the Red Bull at the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring Red Bull driver Mark Webber took pole position for the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring this weekend and, despite a hiccup at the start, managed to translate that in to a double – his first pole and first win in F1. Webber was quick off the line at the start, but got tangled up with Rubens Barrichello in the Brawn. That altercation cost Webber a 10 second drive-through penalty.
