ChargeGuard CG12D provides protection for the battery against excessive discharge, yet the convenience of having your CB or 2-way radio or other electrical accessories operable when you need them regardless of whether the ignition switch is on or not.
Features: It contains built in sensors, that automatically turns on your electrical accessories when the vehicle engine is started and supports a maximum 30 amp electrical accessory current load. When the engine is shut off, the accessories remain on for a variable period of time that you select from 15 minutes to 15 hours. Low voltage detector, that at 11 volts, will take priority over the delay timer and turns the output off within 15 minutes. If the voltage drops further to 10 volts, the output is turned off immediately. This protects a poorly charged battery from excessive discharge High voltage detector (18 volts) that will help protect your electrical accessories powered by the ChargeGuard from a faulty voltage regulator. If the battery is failing and the motor can not be started or, the alternator has failed, provides a convenient method to turn on your attached electrical accessories for emergency communications (CB radio) .
