This is a new shift knob for a 6 speed C5 corvette.  I was in search of the perfect knob for my C5 corvette and decided to make my own.  After several tries I arrived at this design which I love.  I decided to make a couple more to sell and here it is.  This is made in Nebraska by an actual Corvette owner from American made Delrin plastic.  After it is turned on the lathe it is sanded and then it receives a light glass bead blast finish which gives it an awesome feel in the hand.  It is slightly smaller than the UGLY stock nob and it feels great in the hand, much more natural than the stock knob ever did.  Please note that the first photo shows the knob alone, then the second pic shows it laying with the stock boot.  As you can see the size of the neck lines up nicely with the stock boot.  The third picture shows the knobwith a boot that I made which fits over the base of the knob, of course only the knob is included.  Please ask if you have any questions!  Free priority mail shipping only to the lower 48 US states, Thanks for looking.

Hyundai to tone down ‘Fluidic Design’ for ‘Fluidic Precision’

Mon, 23 Jul 2012

Hyundai’s US boss, John Krafcik, has said that Hyundai will refine their ‘Fluidic Design’ in to something they’re calling ‘Fludic Precision’. The Hyundai Fluidic Design language was really the start of Hyundai’s move from Halford’s special to mainstream car maker. But the design language is starting to look a bit fussy and Hyundai are reacting to that by moving towards what they call ‘Fluidic Precision’ (there’s already a less fussy look about the new Santa Fe).

How will you get to work in the year 2030?

Wed, 08 Oct 2014

Imagine a future where New Jersey adopts mass public transit and on-demand jitneys; Boston becomes hyper-dense and walking becomes the primary means of transport; Atlanta disperses even further and relies on solar power, electric cars and Google connected technologies to manage mobility; and Los Angeles tries autonomous cars, but finds the transition difficult, and its gridlock even worse. These are the scenarios proposed in a new study by New York University's Rudin Center for Transport Policy and Management. The report, which proposes scenarios rather than making predictions about the future of transportation in the US, repeatedly points to connected car technologies, autonomous cars and logistics networks as driving forces in regional mobility solutions.

Jaguar F-Type Coupe caught on video at Nurburgring

Wed, 03 Jul 2013

The Jaguar F-Type Coupe (pictured) testing at the Nurburgring The new Jaguar F-Type is a fine looking car, but the F-Type Coupe looks set to be the real looker, and we shouldn’t have to wait too long before the coupe hits a motor show (probably Frankfurt in September). Ahead of that reveal – with a likely on-sale date of early 2014 – Jaguar are out playing with the F-Type Coupe at the Nurburgring, blatting it round the ‘Ring’s unforgiving surfaces and bends to shake the last niggles out before launch. This particular F-Type is undoubtedly the V8 S – which we expect will get the same 495bhp output as the V8 S Roadster – and it sounds great; a wonderful V8 roar as it pounds round the track.
