THE ASTON Martin most closely associated with James Bond is to go to auction next month. The DB5, an example of which featured in 1964’s movie Goldfinger, where it was driven by Sean Connery’s Bond, is perhaps the most recognisable ‘Bond car’. The car featured again more recently, this time with Daniel Craig’s Bond behind the wheel in the blockbuster Skyfall.

Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, held its Spring semester graduation Show in April, showcasing a diverse assortment of design proposals for brands ranging from Lamborghini and Ferrari to Chevrolet, Saab and ZhongHua. The show featured work from 16 graduating students in the Bachelor of Science - Transportation Design program.  Rick Chen - ZhongHua 2+1 Urban Jet ZhongHua 2+1 Urban Jet is a unique concept vehicle that studies the possible future direction for the brand's design DNA. The vehicle's proportions, forms, and graphics are inspired by clean, elegant, and soft spoken classical Chinese designs that represent an Asian view of luxury.

CHILDREN might be charming most of the time but a new survey from the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) will no doubt have parents reading the data with a knowing smile. According to the poll, conducted in conjunction with Vision Critical, 29 percent of drivers questioned admitted that their children proved to be the biggest distraction when driving. Following close behind, and with a nod to the busy lives many claim to lead, was the ubiquitous mobile phone - be that for making calls, texting or checking social media updates.
