The latest version of Hyundai’s i30 Estate – the Hyundai i30 Tourer – has gained a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating – the same as the i30 hatch. Hyundai has placed plenty of emphasis on the safety stuff in their cars too, with the i30, i20, ix35, ix20, i40, Veloster and latest i30 all getting a five star Euro NCAP rating. And now the new i30 Tourer has joined the gang with its very own top rank safety rating.

The 2013 Lexus LS has escaped on to the web 48 hours before the official reveal with a full set of exterior photos. Just yesterday, Lexus responded to the leak of a couple of photos of the 2013 Lexus LS by issuing a single photo of the exterior of their ‘New’ LS. What they’ll do now a full set of  exterior photos of both the regular 2013 LS and 2013 LS F Sport have escaped on to the net we can only guess, although it seems unlikely they’ll do the official reveal until Monday as they planned.

UK drivers fear 'black box' tech in cars

EUROPEAN UNION plans to install ‘black box’ technology in all new cars from 2015 have met with an overwhelming ‘no’ from UK drivers. The EU regulations will see e-Call fitted to all new cars sold from November 2015. The e-Call technology automatically contacts the emergency services in the event of a collision and could save 2500 lives on the roads of Europe every year.
