This auction is for a brand new Holset HX83 Turbocharger P/N 4042789,  and 2837524. These make outstanding tractor pull turbos. The item was bought with a group of items and was boxed and bagged before removing for pictures. I do not have a pair of dial calipers on hand but I have taken close measurements with a tape and the measurements are as follows:  The compressor inlet measures 5.5" and the outlet is 3.5". The turbo appears to have a titanium compressor wheel and measures 4" across the inducer. The turbine housing inlet bolt hole center to center measures 5" tall, 3.5" bolt hole center to center wide. The turbine outlet is a 5.5" diameter  v-band flange. The turbine housing appears to have a 57cm A/R. The turbine wheel measures 4.5" at the exducer. This is a great looking turbo and the pictures do not do it justice. Serious bidders only please. This turbo weighs 120 pounds and will not be offered to international bidders. The solar field, being built in cooperation with utility DTE Energy, will generate 516 kilowatts. GM says that’s enough power to charge up 150 Volts every day for a year.

Fuel injection pumps, thermostats and a number of electrical components are also more likely to suffer in the cold leading to an average winter repair bill of £408.60, the company has warned.

New cars 'cheaper to insure' for young drivers

Thu, 14 Aug 2014

NEW CARS are actually cheaper for young drivers to insure than old bangers, insurance broker Be Wiser has claimed. Figures from the company reveal that the cheapest car for youngsters to insure at the moment is a Volkswagen Up, which costs around £3,000 per year based on a 17-year-old driver in a large city. The same customer looking to insure a 20-year-old Ford Fiesta would be facing a bill of almost £4,000, with insurance premiums even higher in some parts of the country.
