This i2Systems Apeiron Tri-Light combines advanced led technology with rugged mil-spec construction to provide the perfect light for marine, boat, yacht, motorhome, and RV applications.  The lights first come on red to preserve your night vision, and by simply toggling the power to the lights switch to a cool white, and finally blue.  The spring mount design allows for an easy and simple installation; just drill a 2.75" diameter hole, and put the light in.  The lights only have 2 wires, which can be installed on a 12/24V DC system, and hooked up to a regularly closed momentary switch.  The i2Systems part number is A1120Z-31HAE.

Concept Car of the Week: Dodge Copperhead (1997)

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

"If the Dodge Viper is credited for reinventing the Shelby Cobra, then the Dodge Copperhead should be credited for reinventing a car in the tradition of the Austin Healey 3000" said John E. Herlitz, Chrysler Corporation's product design VP. It's hard to find the simple elegance or the charm of the British roadster in this aggressive full-fat American concept with extra cheese; nonetheless, this snake has a dramatic personality of its own.

CES: Mercedes-Benz boss talks technology

Mercedes-Benz boss Dieter Zetsche characteristically seemed to enjoy his status as a car guy amid the computer nerds at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show. “I just came from Detroit yesterday, where some people consider consumer electronics to be a mere accessory to the car, and now I am here at CES where some people think the car is a mere accessory to the consumer electronics,” he said in a keynote speech on Tuesday at the event. Zetsche introduced mbrace2, the second generation of the Mercedes-Benz mbrace (pronounced “embrace”) system.
