Video: Jaguar XF clay model gets axed

Jaguar recently gave a trio of clay modelers the task of deconstructing the original model of their carefully and lovingly sculpted XF sedan by handing them axes and sledgehammers in front of a camera crew. The modelers – dressed in black t-shirts and jeans – are shown taking apart the model piece by piece, perhaps taking out their frustration with designers who feel the need to get a little too hands-on with their artisan handiwork. Perhaps some other car manufacturers could using this as inspiration to destroy some of their cars, maybe – naming no names – before reaching production.

Lotus will show the most sporting, toughest Evora yet - the GTE Road Car Concept - at the 2011 Pebble Beach car show this week. As the name implies, it's borne out of the Evora GTE race programme, which sees Lotus's mid-engined 2+2 compete at races across the globe, culminating in the 24-hour race at Le Mans. The New Astra's interior has been revealed by Vauxhall / Opel today So it was a bit of a surprise that so soon after we’ve had info on the interior of the new Astra drop in to our inbox from Vauxhall. But then I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised. Vauxhall have a habit of throwing things out in lumps.
