Renault Laguna (2007): first official pictures

Mon, 04 Jun 2007

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 04 June 2007 12:06 New Renault Laguna: the lowdown Renault's big-selling Laguna will be replaced in the autumn autumn with this distinctive new family car. Okay, so it's not the most radical car Renault has ever produced, but it does usher in some interesting developments from La RĂ©gie, as it chases down the new Ford Mondeo and forthcoming Vauxhall Vectra. For starters, the Laguna is the latest car to be lighter than the model it replaces; despite being longer, wider and taller, it's an average 15kg skinnier across the range, which should boost performance, economy and emissions.

Citroen Cactus Concept heading for Frankfurt Motor Show

Tue, 27 Aug 2013

Citroen Cactus Concept tease It may be the teasing season for car makers as we head for the Frankfurt Motor Show, but Citroen are giving very little away in their tease for a new concept – the Citroen Cactus Concept. The Cactus Concept – a name used before by Citroen in 2007 for the C-Cactus Hybrid – shows what looks to be a compact car with some of the design features at the front we’ve seen on the new C4 Picasso. But with what looks to be chunky plastic cladding round the extremities of the Cactus, we’re guessing Citroen see the Cactus as some sort of small urban warrior, complete with bumpers that bounce back after supermarket trolley collisions with reference in the video to an ‘Air Bump’.

Lamborghini LP700-4 (2011): the rolling chassis

Wed, 23 Feb 2011

Lamborghini continues the long drip-feed on the new V12 supercar replacement for the Murcielago with this first picture of the carbonfibre rolling chassis. In this week's edition of motor show teaser photography, Lamborghini has started with a naked LP700-4 chassis, prior to next week's reveal of the fully clothed new V12 supercar.  You can clearly see the new pushrod suspension, the carbonfibre chassis, subframes snd the suitably enormous wheel and tyre package.    None at this point. CAR's Gavin Green has driven one of the prototypes (see the January 2011 edition) but it will be at next week's 2011 Geneva motor show where the world gets its first clear look at the new Lamborghini.
