Conventionally engined superminis dominate the top ranks. The scientists gave half their score based on each cars' emissions of CO2, NOx and other pollutants; the other half of the score was calculated from vehicles' construction, energy costs, recyclability and size.

After all, car makers need to have an eco-halo car in each of their model ranges to be squeaky-green (or so they seem to think), and with all the hybrid gubbins for the A6 being nicked from the Q5 hybrid we thought it would a racing certainty that Audi would bring it to market this year. Russia gets its first Lamborghini dealership

Automobili Lamborghini is betting on the continued strength of the Russian market by opening its first dealership in that county in conjunction with the Burevestnik Group, a luxury-automobile and yacht company, in Moscow. “We are very proud of representing Lamborghini in Moscow,” said Andrey Lomakin, co-owner of the Burevestnik Group.
