I built this system for my TJ and used it for about 6 months and have since built a different system.

The tie rod and drag link are made from 2" X .25 Wall DOM Tubing with 5/8 X 3/4 Chromoly Teflon Kevlar Heim Joints from (QS Components .com) in right and left hand making it easy to adjust your Steering Wheel Alignment and Toe.

Cross-Over Steering Bracket by Blue Torch Fab.

The "BTF Cross-Over Steering Bracket for Dana 30/Dana 44 knuckles was designed for a custom spring-over on a YJ. This bracket bolts to the passenger side steering knuckle in 5 places. It allows you to raise the drag-link above the leaf spring in a sprung-over YJ to minimize bump-steer. It also allows you to raise the drag-link to the top of the knuckle to gain about 3" of ground clearance. This part will also bolt to TJ Dana 30/Dana 44 knuckles for custom built steering applications. The axle spring brackets will have to be shaved and steering dampener bracket relocated to allow for clearance of the tie-rod when it is relocated above the knuckle. This bracket bolts through 2 of the 3 holes in the spindle. It also bolts through the top of the knuckle in 3 places. Two holes must be drilled to complete the installation. The existing tapered hole in the knuckle for the tie rod must be drilled to 5/8" to allow for a 3/4 x 5/8" heim joint. This bracket was designed in a 3D modeling software for great fit and is fabricated from 1/4" high-strength steel plate and is fully welded and gusseted for ultimate strength.

Also included is the Right Steering Knuckle drilled and tapped for the BTF Steering Bracket and a TeraFlex Drop Pitman Arm both have been drilled to 5/8 for the new hardware that is also included.

This system works best on a YJ with a spring-over!

Would be willing to ship Fed Ex ground for $50.

Sat, 23 Feb 2013

It looks like the 2014 Range Rover Sport – the Sporty take on the new 2013 Range Rover – will debut in a month’s time at the New York Auto Show. The new Range Rover debuted at last year’s Paris Motor Show, and we had expected Land Rover to debut its sporty sibling – the new Range Rover Sport – at this year’s Frankfurt show in September. But it now looks like Land Rover are planning to get the 2014 Range Rover Sport in the public eye at the 2013 New York Auto Show instead.

Jaguar XJ Long Term review & 2011 Software It’s hard to believe it, but our long-term Jaguar XJ has been with us more than a month. And in that month we’ve used it mainly for running around locally. Not by design, it’s just been that sort of month.
