I was told this was off a a running 1980 Honda xl500 and worked good, I bought it for my 1979 xl500 and it does not fit. It seems to be in very good condition and the slide works smoothly. It is a Mikuni, the numbers on it are KOGYO, I have no idea if it actually fits a 1980 xl500, or any xl500 for that matter, that's just what the seller claimed. Buyer is responsible for making sure it fits on their machine.

Land Rover Defender to be built in Sri Lanka
Tue, 09 Apr 2013The Land Rover Defender is to be built outside the UK in a new plant in Sri Lanka to produce Defenders for the region. Land Rover are assisting and training staff at a new assembly plant in Hambantota, Sri Lanka, run by Sathosa Motors PLC in a 50-50 deal with Land Rover distributors SML Frontier Automotive, with $1 million being invested to get the project up and running this year. It seems clear from the level of investment that this is simply an assembly operation using CKD kits from the UK for the Defender, but Sri Lank’s Daily News is reporting that there are plans to invest $500 million in the project.

Vauxhall obviously agree as they’ve revealed the Vauxhall Astra VXR EXTREME as the new top of the range Astra VXR and it’s heading for a debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March before going in to limited production.
