(1) Set of *NOS* Delco Pleasurizer P1142 rear Shocks (500-22)

These are Vintage Delco  Shocks in their original un-opened  box..........They are all New, made in the USA, have never been used, and have no rust !!  They have been out of production for many years and are harder and harder to locate.

All the shocks I currently have for sale come from the same source; a retired mechanics inventory that had been saved since the 1970’s. Shock boxes that had been opened were all date coded 1971-1973. Similarly, shocks positioned within their boxes, at a “readable angle” were all date coded in the 1970-73 time frame. I am not able to read the date codes on many of the shocks, only because I do not want to open or destroy the packaging

.

Chevrolet Applications:

Correct in Corvette ......................All Standard Suspension.........1953-1962........# P1142 (500-22)

Always independently check your specification manuals to confirm the P1142 is correct for your application before you bid or buy. *Attached Comparability information was taken from Delco Manual dated March 1978 & Parts Manual dated June 1972. Upon request I will gladly send a photo copy, from the Delco Manual, to affirm your application, provided it is for the P1142.

My Vintage NOS Parts may be between 40-50 years of age. The boxes, which house the parts, may show typical or various signs of shelf-wear as it is a paper product.  However, when you open the boxes you will find your parts, to truly be in, the real deal ‘NOS’ condition. Although some of the outer cellophane wrapping is torn, the shock has its own independent plastic wrap, which is intact, protecting it accordingly.

New Skoda Octavia Scout price and spec – costs from £25,315

Mon, 14 Jul 2014

New Skoda Octavia Scout costs from £25,315 The new Skoda Octavia Scout arrived at the Geneva Motor Show in the Spring, bringing an ‘Allroad’ version of the latest Skoda Octavia Combi (Estate) to the market. As with all estate cars with offroad pretensions, the Octavia Scout comes with a more butch set of bumpers and a more purposeful nose, black cladding for the door sills and wheel arches, a new set of alloys, a raised ride height and a few tweaks for the interior so it all looks more than capable of taking on a muddy boot sale car park. The Scout comes with a choice of two 2.0 litre TDI engines at launch, with a lower powered, 148bhp with a six-speed manual and a more powerful, 182bhp version, getting a six-speed DSG gearbox, both of which return official economy of 55.4mpg (although, oddly, the lower-powered gets emissions of 129g/km and the more powerful 134g/km).

BMW M5 2011 (F10) at Nurburgring +video

Fri, 09 Oct 2009

The 2011 BMW M5 caught on video near the Nurburgring Wonderful power plant though the V10 is, in these economy and emissions conscience times it is a pragmatic move by BMW to use the 4.4 litre V8 already seen in the X5M and X6M in the next generation M5. It seems almost certain if you watch this video – especially at around 3:15 where you can hear the turbos quite clearly – that forced induction is the route BMW are taking. But it seems likely that the M5 will get a few more horses than others in the BMW range using the same powerplant.
