Here's a hard-to-find item that's usually lost or damaged and can hold up an project while you scramble to find beat-up, rusted, buggered used trash: NOS Mopar front suspension K-member screws, a set of four (4). Correct 120,000 PSi rated screws, correct "N" head, pilot point, captive washer, thread cutting, tapered locating shoulder (very important), and correct oddball diameter and length. 

Used on all '63-'76 A-bodies, '62-'72 B, and all E-body muscle Mopars, and even non-musclecars.

Bolts in to correctly locate the K-member.

Some very slight surface rust, these are 25+ years old, but brand new!

Michelin Challenge Design 2009 preview

Michelin has released details of three more contenders which will be displayed at the Michelin Challenge Design exhibit at the 2009 NAIAS next week. The stand will feature 11 scale models and 24 two-dimensional drawings that were selected by a jury of top automotive designers. Among these are Raquel Aparicio’s Soft Vehicle, Fernando Gomez’s Packard concept and Niels Grubak Iversen and David Goncalves’ Phoenix concept.

Bentley has dropped a strong hint that an open-top Mulsanne model is on the way. Almost three years to the day since the original Mulsanne limo made its debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, Crewe has released sketches of a soft-top Mulsanne, touted by Bentley as 'the ultimate in contemporary design, prestige and exclusivity'. Is the Bentley Mulsanne Convertible Concept just a new Azure?

Infiniti Q50 hit by steer-by-wire recall in the US

Infiniti has issued a recall notice in the US for a small number of Q50 models fitted with the firm’s new Direct Adaptive Steering system. This is a ‘steer-by-wire’ steering system that only has a mechanical link between the steering wheel and the wheels as a back-up. The rest of the time the steering is operated by electronics, rather than a direct connection.
