This listing is for One ( 1 ) professionally refurbished and fully tested Genuine OEM Honda IPT Keihin fuel injector. For cross reference purposes, SMP # FJ443.
This injector was tested with a Flow Matched Set.
The test cylinders of the injector bench testing unit in the picture above are the actual flow test results from this set of Honda IPT injectors - after servicing they flow matched at just 2 % ( which is awesome) !!! A flow matching set of injectors should all be flowing within 5% of each other ( industry standard ) for proper engine performance, power, smooth idling and smooth throttle response during acceleration.
This injector performed flawlessly during all the performance tests in the computerized fuel injector bench testing unit.
All of our Refurbished injectors have been ultrasonically cleaned, back-flushed, flow tested, lubricated, and are 100% ready to be put into service.
These injectors come complete with all new upper o-rings, new upper grommets, new lower seals, and new internal microfilters. They are ready to install.
Why take a chance on untested used fuel injectors that may have crud filled internal filters, old hardened o-rings, or a bad coil ??
These Honda injectors are in great shape, but do have cosmetic stains and scratches from prior use.
All of the injectors I sell are fully tested and are guaranteed to perform like new.
These used / refurbished genuine OEM Honda IPT fuel injectors are made by Indiana Precision Technologies, a division of Keihin. The numbers stamped on the side of the injectors' plastic body # 4109, are not the injector number, but are the manufacture date and batch code. These Honda IPT injectors are identified by their plastic discharge cap color, paint markings ( if any ), and connector type. These Honda IPT injectors' plastic tips are brown. These also have no paint markings. These Brown tip IPT Honda injectors are 12 + ohm / high impedance injectors. These injectors have the Honda OBD 2 style connector. Replace them in a complete matching set, or make sure that the individual injector you are replacing has the same resistance and has the exact same color plastic discharge cap color !!
- 240 cc/min. flow rate
- OBD 2 connector
- 12 + ohms ( approximate ) / High Impedance / Saturated
- Brown plastic discharge cap
- No paint markings
Outside of ebay I run a Fuel Injection Refurbishing business called Injector Repair LLC. Sending your own vehicles' fuel injectors out to be refurbished, or buying a complete set of refurbished and flow matched fuel injectors are great ways to save a ton of money vs. buying brand new injectors at $70 TO $150 FOR EACH NEW INJECTOR. Genuine OEM Fuel Injectors are designed to outlast your engine, and should last way more than 300,000 to 500,000 miles. Bosch and Delphi report a less than 3 % injector failure rate after 300,000 miles of continuous use. They usually only fail to perform when they get clogged ( a bad side effect of ethanol, or a bad batch of contaminated gas ), or when the injectors internal coil winding fails ( happens, but rarely ). OEM injectors that are factory original are far superior in quality than the aftermarket injectors sold by the big name aftermarket suppliers. They may look the same, but they are definitely not the same quality as OE brands like Bosch, Delphi, Denso, IPT, JECS, Keihin, Rochester, Siemens Deka, and Weber.
Beware buying a cheapo set of new 'no name' brand fuel injectors.
Each fuel injector is;
- externally cleaned
- resistance checked
- parts ( including internal filter ) are removed
- dirty or clogged injectors are ultrasonically cleaned while being computer driven
- injectors are back-flushed
- Then the injectors parts are replaced with new high quality o-rings, plastic caps (when needed ), plastic spacers, and the internal injector microfilter.
- The set of injectors are then flow tested on a computerized fuel injector bench testing unit and evaluated for leak down, flow volume and spray pattern. In order to pass, the injectors have to not leak when closed under full pressure, and they have to have the proper spray pattern and the proper flow volume when tested under a number of different scenarios. They are subjected to multiple tests and are tested; At Static condition (wide Open), 3 millisecond pulse width, 6 millisecond pulse width, 12 millisecond pulse width, and are tested at various RPM.'s. These tests insure that the injectors are performing correctly under all conditions, and will detect a faulty injector coil that may have passed a resistance check.
