This is a restored original 1100794 37A Delco-Remy alternator for multiple GM models from 1967 through 1969. This alternator is in nearly perfect condition, will work like new and has never been installed on a car. The date code is 8C20, meaning March 20, 1968. This is an excellent deal, considering many non-working 1100794 alternators cost nearly $150.

Black cab fares to rise

BLACK cab fares in the capital are going up and could rise again as early as next January. From April 5, London taxi fares will increase by an average of 0.7%, Transport for London (TfL) announced today. TfL said the below-inflation increase was the lowest since it took responsibility for licensing taxis in 2000 and the rise equated to just 9p more on an average fare.

Has the McLaren P1 lapped the Nurburgring in a record 6 minutes 47 seconds? We knew McLaren were back at the Nurburgring with the P1 in an attempt to make good on Ron Dennis’s promise that the P1 would lap the ‘Ring in under 7 minutes. It appears McLaren has already tried to set a sub-7 minute time with the P1 but could only manage 7:04s so, with the firts P1s now in customer hands – and full performance specs revealed – the final piece of the jigsaw (apart form a Top Gear lap record) is to set a great time at the Nurburgring.

There are a few ways to tackle the problem of wanting to have a boat and a car but only having the space (or budget) for one vehicle. You could go the Amphicar route and end up with a so-so car that's also a so-so boat (bail-out buckets of charm though!). If budget permits, you could pick up a Quadski, but that doesn't give you the comfort of an enclosed cabin.
